I've never been a fan of tetris but duck hunt was great. :thumbup::thumbup: I hear they're making a revamped version of duck hunt for the wii.

I always liked bases loaded, of course mario/duck hunt, the zeldas weren't too bad either.
My nes still works to this day. Havent played it in a long time, but it was working fine last time I tried,

Remember the old "blow into the tape" trick to get the game to load right?

Good call. I've never played 'Bases Loaded' but I still have 'Super Bases Loaded' for snes, very good game. I can't stand these new sports games.

ahh, yes, blow quickly then slowly across the cartridge, I had this system to make them work.

My parents were super religous and we had a noah's ark nintendo game.

Yeah, haha. Exactly.

I can remember doing that while real young and getting slobber all in them. :lol:

I wonder if that actually really did help, as there was usually no visible dust on the inside of the tapes.

Seems like just inserting and removing the cartridge constantly would get it to work about the same.

I would still have to say Mike Tyson's Punch out was the best game made for that system..

Yeah Tysons punch out is great. I remember you schooling the nerds over at Pepis pizzaria & arcade years back. They used to put a lot of loot down. :rotfl: :thumbup:

That was Super punch out... Canadian Bear Hugger was the best...

Yea they use to bet to see who could win the game the fastest.. When you know the tell signs of fighters, and can time well, knock outs come quick..

We always took it to the next level and blew the inside of the console, even though if dust was preventing it from loading, it would blow right back into our faces. Same with that little fingergrip tab at the top left of the cartridge. Once the game was popped in and the NES was powered on, we would wet our fingers and slide it back and forth fast and that was supposed to line the game up somehow. It seemed to work, sometimes.

I still never beat Super Mario Bros., as with the second one. The third one I beat on an emulator this past year, but you're able to save games whenever you want so that's kind of cheating. It also started off my Zelda love-affair.
