here is my situation:
about three days ago i birthed my cakes into my terrarium(7 total) and yesterday i noticed that i by accident got two or three drops of water on top of one of my cakes. i figured there was nothin i could do cause the mycelium on the tops of the cakes were like more cotton like than the rest of the cake, i tried to like tip it over and let the water run off but it wasent workin seeing as how the water was like in a puffy mycelium valley. today i noticed that the cake in question had developed what looked like yellowish bumps about the size of a shirt button (damn i wish i had a pic it would be much easier, but bare with me for a few). i figured i needed to get these three lumps off my cake, so i went into the e.r. and myself being the lone surgen removed the lumps with a alcohol cleaned knife tip. the three lumps were then taken into the lab where i proceeded to do an inspection of them. they were all yellow on the inside and semi covered in mycelium on the outside, they kinda looked like peanuts but more yellow than brown. the cake shows no signs of contaimnants and is now in a poor mans icu terrarium just to be safe cause if something turns up on this cake i dont want it to spread to my others. so what is the verdict on what these lumps are? and is my cake still ok to continue fruiting? any answers, opinions would be much help, thanks. late.

Mycelium, Well im no expert but ill jsut say what i have heard. From what i hear if you get the mycelium wet it turns to a yellowish color like you described. Something similiar liek that had happened to me the other day also. I tried to use the straw Tek and fill up the straws with sterile water. Biut the shit leaked all out the sides of the straws and the next day some puffy white stuff repalced where the water was on top of the cake, but it didnt turn yellow like you said. Personally i think your cakes should still be ok.
