Old Spice deodorant

The other day I got a stick of that long lasting "mountain rush" scented Old Spice. I used it the day before yesterday with no trouble, then again last night.

Today I woke and hopped in the shower. While washing my armpits I noticed my skin was peeling off. (dead skin) Well its been peeling off all day if I rub the area, it's beet red, and burns badly. I've just been putting some neosporin on it.

Fuck Old Spice :thumbdown:, I'll stick to my cheap Speed Stick.

Now I see why some of you hippies don't wear deodorant. :smirk:

yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck.

If given the choice between Old Spice and isopropyl alcohol, I'd use the latter. I'd much rather smell like some acid-base extraction than be associated with that shite :thumbdown:

Do you or anybody else have any suggestions for deodorants that are easy on the skin? This shit burned through me like muriatic acid. I've had allergic reactions to certain deodorants before but never like this.

I've had the problem before but still continue to use it as I always get compliments on how well I smell...

Could be different ingrediants than the speedstick one? I haven't had a problem with it for a while now.

Arid extra extra dry. I use to get rashes from that rub on shit... now i the only rub i get is from the ladies.. ok maybe not but at least my pits don't burn

i use speedstick too because im allergic to anti-perperants aswell... i think its the alluminum that im allergic too not sure tho...

My speedstick has: Propylene glycol, water, sodium stearate, fragrance, sodium chloride, stearyl alcohol, fd&c blue no 1, fd&c yellow no. 5

Old Spice: Dipropylene glycol, water, propylene glycol, sodium stearate, fragrance, PPG-3 myristyl ether, triclosan, tetrasodium edta, sodium hydroxide, d&c violet no. 2, d&c green no. 6.


Seems to be a lot more shit in the Old Spice. Could have been a number of things that caused it to burn the fuck out of my skin. It'd be nice to narrow it down to just one or two ingredients for future reference. :shrug:

I use the Old Spice soft solid deodorant and it works great. The only time I've had issues with my pits burning was when I tried some of that roll on straight anti persperant. That was god awful.

has anyone ever tried that rock salt deodarant stuff before? it's a rock, and you wet it down and wipe it on your armpits, workds for like 2 hours then you smell like hpoo
