Another Bonnaroo thread but......TORNADO!
    #5778243 - 06/21/06 09:32 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Man I wonder if anyone else experienced this

When we were chillin at our campsite it started getting really windy and the wind started sucking trash up into the air and it was going in the funnel-shape kind of

Next thing you know, theres so many tents in the air gettin thrown around and we sat there SO fucked up watching this shit

Then we ran to the eye of the tornado and it was windy as hell, this shit literally went right past our cars, we got so lucky

Here is a quick clip of what happened, but it only shows 2 tents but it was fuckin intense!

how are two tents flying in the air on a windy day "trippy"? It only takes a 10-15 mph wind to pick up a tent with no stakes.

YES! I had forgotten about those. I saw 3 separate 'tornados' at the roo. You would just see trash cirlcing around hundreds of feet into the air and then a tent or two would lift off and travel far far away.

hahah that would suck if you were at the show and your tent got sucked up and dropped two or three campsites away ;D.

those little guys are dust devils, they're pretty common and can be pretty strong,
but they're not near the destructive frce of a tornado, you'll know when they hit

I thought you were going to be there. What happened? Some fantom wind flipped the Shroomery Camp canopy tent over onto one of our neighbor's tent. I wasn't there, but I heard about it.

I was there and I tried looking for the octopus but never found it. I spaced it and didn't take down your cell phone number from the pm you sent. I really want to meet you though so we should meet up for another concert or festival this summer. 10k perhaps?

Nah, Bonnaroo was my big hoorah for this season. I will be hitting up alot of shows this fall, but I am saving cash for the rest of the summer. The octopus wouldn't float. It was too heavy. It was the perfect weight for crowd surfing, though.:) What was up with Joan's no show, on the encore? ANy rumors?
