So far it looks like the 'I's' have it. A one stop contest shop would definitely be a nice addition.
Cheers

Without a specific forum, vendors and individuals can be clearly differenciated. That wouldn't be that easy for someone who didn't know well the shroomery to understand who's a vendor and who's not.
Moreover, I already see some people becoming addicts to the contest forum. I'm sure the vendor forum would be less consulted. I often view posts that I wouldn't otherwise by participating at a contest in the vendor forum.
Anyway, I'm the only "no" !

Well originally, that is what the Vendors forum was supposed to be, a place where vendors could hawk their wares rather than clutter up the cult forum.
But now the Vendors forum is getting cluttered up with Mickey Mouse contests, maybe it would be best to tuck them away in some far-flung forum.

I am down with that. I think it is a good way to raise money for the community, while providing a service that would possibly introduce the winners to new varieties, and new vendors. I think it would be good advertising for both the community and the vendor members of the community. Let's all watch it grow.

I think it is a good Idea, but my only concern is that it will only turn into a breeding ground for vendor quarrels. Ever since the vendor forum has been fully moderated, a lot of the immature fighting and mud slinging has stopped, with only a few instigators slipping through the cracks. Unfortunately some of us are not adult enough to conduct ourselves like ladies and gentlemen.
In an ideal world, this is something we don?t have to worry about. But as we all know, some people have no self control. What steps will be taken to ensure that the proposed forum will not turn into a circus?

Just a thought, i think contests are cool because not everyone knows about em, you have to be an active shroomery member to get in on them, if theres one forum, they're would be alot of people just looking for free stuff and not to support the shrooming community.

I think that would be a good idea...put the contests in their own forum.

I think this would be a very good idea, because half of the posts in the vendors forum are contests. So I think contest/raffle posts need their own forum!
