My wife is poisoning me

I work graveyard and my wife is nice enough to make me a salad and a nice meal for the night while I'm away trying to have lucid dreams. We used to cook together for our first year of marriage but since I got this job we don't do that much anymore. On my days off, I might add, I make 5 course meals for my family.

When I'm awake for our cooking experience I usually grill and my wife takes care of the rest. I woke up early (not unusual) but decided to go and help her prepare my dinner (not unusual again, I'm not lazy I just haven't noticed this yet). When I get to the kitchen to help, she's spraying down the counter with Lysol like she's putting out a flame with a fire hydrant. She then takes a paper towel (one) and wipes it down leaving some wetness on the counter and not washing her hands afterwards. I really don't pay much attention to this until she starts to cut fruits and veggies directly over the area where she sprayed, not using a cutting board. I ask her what she is doing and she tells me that it's sterilized so I'm safe. I ask her how long she's been doing this. She tells me "pretty much our whole marriage" (2 1/2 years) but almost every day since I've had my new job. She thought it was safe! I've been eating Lysol for the past 1 1/2 years. I wonder how many years this has taken off of my life....

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

Well, I can't blame her. She grew up on a farm and they thought that washing your hands after playing with horses and pigs was abnormal. I'm trying to teach her basic sterilization techniques but it backfired. She's not nutty but a beautiful and thoughful person. I appreciate people that judge before I know, I'm surprised that you have the shroom count you have. I wasn't asking to judge but I probably should have added her past. My bad.

You should be fine :smile:  Lysol is just a germ that eats all other germs. 

If your wife sprays, then cuts on top of it, the lysol will either disipate into the food in a very small amount. Or it will be cooked off.

Spray some Lysol onto a table top.  In a few seconds the wet look will become dry/usable.

I don't disinfect this way when I cook but I've known many who have.

people that live on farms tend to stay healthy, it's because people arent getting
enough germs, bacteria and microbes in their diets that health starts to decline
