any one else likes this program. i've had a lot of fun with it. it's perfect for us cheap-asses who are to poor to afford real equipment.

I was considering getting but then got Ableton Live instead which you can do a lot more with.

what are some of Ableton Live's extra's traktor doesn't have?

Ableton Live does everything that tractor can do plus more. Live is effectively a full-function DAW. It provides or supports just about every software widget you can think of: plug-in synths and effects, very smooth audio time-stretching, ReWire, envelope-based automation at both the clip and track level, an intelligent browser, and so on. Its user interface is extremely clean and usable. Plus you can use MIDI and its an audio sequencer. I like it best for sketching out ideas very quickly.

have u used traktor 3 yet? it's uses midi, final scratch2, 4 tracs, sampling, effects, better browsing than v.2, more file types (mp3/wma). i'll try torrenting ableton but if you haven't used tractor since v.2 then i'd give it another look.

I downloaded the trial version for traktor 3 but prefer ableton live 5 for the sequencer (session and arrangement view) because I like to record guitar. I also use reason 3 as a slave inside live. Live's audio tools are 100% non-destructive and they do all their work in real time. Traktor 3 is a great program though.

I've played around with Traktor and find it pretty fun for experimenting with but ableton live is what I use most of the time along with a lot of plugins and Reason.
