DALLAS, Texas (1010 WINS) -- An honors student has been charged with delivering marijuana-spiked muffins to a teachers lounge in a senior prank that sent 18 people to the hospital and triggered an FBI and terrorism investigation.

"I had no idea of the scope of my actions,'' Ian Walker, 18, said Friday, a day after he and friend Joseph Tellini surrendered to police. They could receive 10 years in prison or more if convicted of felony charges.

Walker is accused of bringing adulterated bran muffins to Tellini's suburban school May 16 and claiming they were part of an Eagle Scout project. When Lake Highlands High School employees ate the muffins, they began complaining of nausea, lightheadedness and headaches. Most of those sickened were quickly treated and released, but Rita Greenfield, an 86-year-old receptionist, spent two days in the hospital.

``They were just thinking it would be fun to get these teachers all silly and giggly,'' Greenfield said. "I do not think of this as a prank at all. It has caused heartaches and hard feelings.''

Imagine the teachers running around like chickens that just had their heads cut off.

"I'm stoned! I'm stoned!"

"Just go with it, man."

If they didn't make them go to the hospital they couldn't call it dangerous.

It's quite possible those teachers are privately hookin' themselves up with bags of their own now that they have felt what it is to be stoned. That is, unless they already get high.

You're right that they're making it seem worse than it is. But if they were really strong, to someone completely not expecting it, I suppose it could seem like being poisoned. I've gotten pretty sick from brownies. But, that was because they were so loaded with pot, (though filtered from the butter), it was completely disgusting to eat. Not really the greatest idea for a prank.

Maybe they were puking and shit? For the older ones, especially the 86 year old (dumb fucking move, kids), a hospital visit is pretty expectable.

I never do know how kids plan on getting away with this one. Do you think they're not going to check it out? Unless they placed it anonymously in the teacher's lounge, in a school without cameras, of course they're fucked. Even if they did that, they'd naturally have told 500 kids about the awesome plan before the end of the day.

Dumb move, but does it really need to be published? And seriously, the FB fucking I? I remember one case, many years back, a middle school student took a paper clip, unbent it, and shot it at a lunch lady with a rubber band. This happened on the opposite side of the country from me, and it was on the news for weeks.

either way, dosing anyone with mind altering substances even if it is just a little pot muffin, is beyond fucked up.

Good thing Abbie Hoffman didn't dose the U.S. water supply then. Where would we be today? Probably at war or something..

Remember a little thing called 'Set and Setting'.

If thousands upon thousands of everyday non-drug-taking americans were suddenly to find themselve in an acid trip, without any knowlege of the fact, there would be massive chaos. I'd be wiling to bet that hundreds would be killed.

Yeah I know. it's a shitty paradox because the reason the regular mainstream world's "set and setting" sucks is because more people don't use psychedelics...

If it were more of a regular thing, more would indulge, and the setting would get better and better.

I still believe it might be better to dose them all and let the chips fall where they may, because it would totally destroy the U.S. propaganda machine if everyone were dosed.

The alternative would seem to me to be be even more unthinkable than the possible negatives you mentioned, leaving them all disconnected from their lives and brainwired to their television sets.

I say slip everyone the fuckin' "red pill".  :crazy2: (The government took away their free-choice when they made LSD unavailable to the mainstream anyway, so we should choose it for them!! )

It's L0ve

A dead man is better off than an enslaved man that spends his life in chains anyway...

Maybe. I think it might just make it stronger in the end though. I know too many people who have 'learned so much' or 'seen through all the bullshit' on drugs, only to fall back into shitty patterns the next week.

LSD needs to hit a critical mass like Pot did in U.S. society. It's difficult though because you can't grow LSD in your closet.

The world desperately needs LSD to come back in a big way!

Also, in response to your post, most people that learn to recognise BS never forget how. Once you clearly see that you are being lied to, it's rather hard to stick your head back into the sand.

I disagree. Most hippies from the 60's have completely turned 180 and sold out by now.

I think you'll always have the skill to recognize it, but the majority will be able to tune out that part of their minds.

Man Pleads Guilty in Pot Muffin Case
September 14, 2007 - Associated Press

DALLAS (AP) — A former student accused of delivering marijuana-laced muffins to a high school teacher's lounge pleaded guilty Friday.

Joseph Tellini pleaded guilty to two second-degree felony charges of tampering with a consumer product and three charges of misdemeanor assault.

He originally was charged with five counts of assaulting a public servant. But under terms of a plea agreement, Tellini will instead serve seven years of deferred adjudication probation on the lesser charges.

Officials said 18 school employees at Lake Highlands High School were hospitalized in May 2006 after eating the drugged snacks, but no one was seriously injured.

The other man in the incident, Ian McConnell Walker, is expected to enter a guilty plea next month. They could have faced up to 10 years in prison on the original charges.

Walker, who was a student at another high school, later apologized and said he had participated in a senior prank gone wrong. Tellini has declined to speak with the media. Both were 18 at the time of the incident.

Probably not, they had to go to the hospital because they overdosed.
I'd be too scared to go on to H if I OD'd on a muffin.

Randomly dosing everyone in the US on acid when they're not expecting it is just going to make them say "fuck that, i never want that again". I dont see what good would possibly come from that, especially if you've never done it before. IMO that would be scary as fuck
