Who wants to go into business with me?

I have some friends who make t-shirts and sell them at festivals. They have a pretty nice 6 screen printing press that they keep out in the pumphouse and once or twice a year they have a 2-3 day printing marathon and print up enough shirts to last them for several months, usually right before some big festival.
I'm trying to think of some way to keep this press busy making money all the time. I thought about selling the shirts here on the shroomery, but it's just a dozen designs or so and they're mostly beer logos that have been turned into a marajuana refference, such as a red stripe label that says "Red Hair" instead of "Red Stripe" or"NYC DIESEL" instead of "NEWCASTLE".
I was telling him he needs to put little tags on all his shirts and try to get repeat customers that continue to bring him business over and over.
This got me to thinking about how alot of those people probably know of some store in their home town that they could be sales reps for and carry a catalog into the store and show it to the person in charge.
If the store decides to start carrying his shirts, the sales rep gets a commission on all future sales.
This got me to wondering if I could recruit some people on here to sell his shirts and we could split the commission ($2-$3 a shirt).
I think it would be fair for me to take 1/4 of the comission and the other 3/4 would go to the local sales rep. This is a basic Producer/Distributor/Sales Rep/Retail Store arraingement.
A dozen shirts that are mostly about pot is a good start for playing around with, but more different kinds of product would definitely generate more sales.
I know all you people here all know where there is a head shop or tattoo parlor or some other kind of place that would sell shit like that, and I bet some of you can produce or knows someone who produces a sellable product that I or somebody else could be a sales rep for.
We could put together a network of people making and selling each other's stuff. Kind of like an Anarchist Amway.
If any of you have a product that you can produce or get produced, let me know and I'll start putting together a catalog to take around to a few stores, and anybody who wants to sales rep is welcome to a few copies of the catalog when it's ready.
I have T-shirts designs ready to be printed if anybody wants to make comission on them. It's pretty easy money. If people show an interest I will put at least those into a catalog and send them out to whoever's interested.

Some friends and i often thought about buying a printing press.
We have plenty of ideas, a couple really good designers and artists.
Not sure why we never got off our lazy asses and did it.
Maybe its time i rethought the idea

Other than coming up with gerneral/humorous/wacky/drugged-out/fucked up t-shirts/hoodies, think of the market that is your local music scene.
There is a whole market ripe for the picking.

Welcome aboard Snr. Doobs and LoFiFunk. I'm sure we'll all be millionaires very soon.
I need to talk to the guy about what I can and can't show of our current artwork first. I'll try to have something substantial for you to look at in the next day or two.
He's printing shirts of some new artwork tonight. I'll try to get pictures of the actual shirts .

Single screen designs are quick and easy. I've got some old woodcuttings artwork that I'm thinking of putting burning some screens for.
The more colors and finer the detail the more a pain in the ass printing is. A single color lineart design is super easy and quick to print.
Basically, more colors means more screens. For each screen that has to be lined up perfectly with all the others, the difficulty and labor involved increases exponentially.

This might be a bit presumptious of me, but I work for a screenprinter as a production artist. I don't want to sell anything, but if you need any assistance coming up with (or creating/recreating) designs that are made specifically to be screenprinted, shoot me a pm.
You sound like you might actually know what you're doing, which is all too uncommon in the screenprinting business, but still... I like helping people do stuff that I'm good at.

Hey thanks. Right now I think they need to learn how to do photo realistic images. All their stuff is completely seperate colors with no blending between screens.

Shoot me a pm about the details.
