Post your favorite artists/paintings/visual pictures. Two of my favorite current painters are Joseph Mallord William, and Zdzislaw Beksinski.
The first is very good with lighting, a characteristic I like. The second guy, Zdzislaw, paints from what he sees in his dreams (he was also murdered recently  )

Is there a quick way to see all the posts youve replied in, in order to check if there were new replies? I see the 'my posts' link under my home, but it doesnt show if they have been replied to or not.

if you toggle your posts (bottom of the screen.. favorite) in your home they will appear in a list and if they have been replied to there will be a "new" icon by it.

Wow!!! Beksinski has some freaking talent. His artwork is so creepy yet utterly satisfying in a weird primal but intelligent way.

that's great that you posted some Beksinski stuff. he's actually probably my favorite artist. his style is so dark and amazing. I have everything he's done saved to my computer. I'm not crazy about his later more digital works but find them ok in their own right. his early paintings are the best, though. I used to use the first image posted as an avatar years ago.
I also really like this work of his (which I've posted in MAL before):
I was trying to find the deviantART site of this really amazing artist who only uses a pencil and creates some of the most realistic portraits I've ever seen. anyone have a link? I think he's German.

I'm not sure about the deviantart artist, but ill definitely look foward to when you find it.

Were you thinking of Howard David Johnson?
He draws photo realistic portraits with prismacolor pencils.

Bekskinski's paintings all seem to have the theme of the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust, and the contuining evolution of human life after the nuclear event. Very beautiful and creepy stuff, some of it reminds me of H.R. Giger, like that ghoul playing the trumpet with all those excess fingers.

On a completely different level in art, I somehow ended up at coopstuff.com, and was wondering who in the hell this "coop" character is. If the site mentions his full name or histroy, I cant find it.

One of my favorite artists is A. Andrew Gonzalez.
He uses acrylic in a airbrush to create trasfigurative art. Check out his site, his work is very inspiring.
