Ok, so I'm not dead- Excellent =)! (re: post yesterday.. lol).
Today on my way home from Tafe, i decided to stop and have a quick search around a little area of forest I know, and I stumbled across something interesting. I don't know what they are - but here's my description and some piccas!
Mushroom - X2 (Unidentified)

CAP->
Size = 3-5cm Thickness = .5cm Shape = Wavy - Altogether convex. Starts with nipple in the middle, flows down then back up again at rims.
Texture - Feel = Slimy but even and not wet. Visual = Looks smooth. Colour = Overall Golden-Brown colour, lightening slightly at rims. Intense bruising to blue-green and even blackish.(very dark)

GILLS ->
Attached to stem, spacing of aprox. 2mm, with alternating BIG and SMALL gills.

STALK ->
Central. Wavy and rigid in shape. 10-12cm tall. Intense Blue-Greenish bruising all over, especially at base.

NO VEIL.
HABITAT ->
Growing in moist conditions amongst bracken of mostly fern and pine needles. Most were solitary, but did find 3 growing together.
And ideas on what this could be?
I'll try get a spore print too.
FOUND IN SOUTH-EAST MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

I got a few more pics, just in case the other ones weren't so good. I can also get habitat pics later if necessary..... just might look a bit funny me walking around the bush with a camera - coz u can see this area from the road.. it's far away from the road - but noticable!!

The 3rd picture looks like has some sort of pellicle(http://www.answers.com/topic/pellicle) that a oftenly occurs on Psilocybe mushrooms. Along with a adnexed and/or others emarginate gill pattern.

From what I can tell by looking at the snapped stem showen on the 5th picture. They look though as if they are hallow. Am I correct?

Yup, snapped they are hollow - rather fibrous stems too.
Thanks for the compliments on the pics! i'll try get some wild shots - any clue as to what they are?

I would say psilocybe subaeruginosa (looks like blueing on pic 4), but then pic 2 and the red staining on the stem of pic 4 look BAD, and I don't want to be resposible for killing anyone if they turn out to be galerinas (although there are no veils). The brightness of the second pic, and the slightly red staining on pic 4 (stem) remind me of some galerinas i found growing right next to subs last year.
Get that spore print, and wait around for an experienced ID before eating any this time
Good luck squirrel
edit: what a dumbass spelt psilocybe wrong

hmm.. looking at pics of a few varieties of Galerina.. jeezz... it's hard to tell apart. The bruising is intensly coloured, but it ranges from blue to greens to darker colours.. trying to get a spore print at the mo. I might also see if I can get a friend to give them an I.D. and post that up too.

Those pics took ages to open - they look very similar to Ps.subaeruginosa - the gills are correct, the stem stains nice and blue and the cap and habitat sound correct as well. If your still not sure a spore print check might be an idea and your looking for a purpelish spore print.

Am taking spore print at the moment, as time passes they are bruising further, with blue veiny types line popping up all over their caps and stems.
Spore print is taking a while.. sorry about the pics loading time - had to upload them onto my own server rather than here due to size limitations. Next time i'll make two copies - one thumbnail, one fullsize - like this forum does when you upload pics - much better that way =)

Alright, I got two lots of prints, one turned out not so well, the other one is better.
 To me the colour of this one looks dusty brown, maybe slightly coppery,
 Whilst this has more deep coppery red than the other...
Doesn't this tend to indicate Galerina? I don't know about galerinas spread, or what types grow in Melbourne.. but I have read that they're deadly posionous and very similar to Subaeruginosa..
There is definite deep blue staining/bruising on some of my samples though..

And I also read that Galerina does not stain at all...
Plus these shrooms have no indication of veil at all, either past or present.

i picked some similar to that.. and tripped from them on sunday , and its tuesday and im not dead yet..and they looked very similar to the ones i picked..but best not to eat them till there identifyed..is the inside of them stem brown?
although mine were growing in bark..and the gills were a bit darker..and there was no redness..and i dont think galerina's grow that big..they stay smaller from what ive seen on mushroom john and stuff..
but dont take my word for it , im reasonalby new at shrooms.

Great Pics..
You definately have SOME Ps. aeruginosas in there.....youll need to spore print All of them and make sure All of them have a DARK PURPLE BROWN to DARK PURPLE BLACKISH spore prints AND bruise no question about it DISTINCTLY BLUE where handled or cut within 4 or 5 hours
some SUBs can have DARK CHOCOLATE BROWN spores but selecting the ones with purple shades ensure eliminating alot of potential poisonings
there are poisonous mushrooms with the same color spores as SUBs but dont bruise BLUE
there are some mushrooms that bruise blue that are poisonous but not with the PURPLISH spore color

Thanks for the help!
I have several of them which are nearly turning completely blue (LOL - slight exaggetation.. but not by much!) and some which only have blue patches on either their caps or stems - i'm now sporing them all and i'll go back to the habitat today and hopefully get some pics of them there for y'all.. and pic a few more =)
