I would definately put some spikestrips down on the road if you're having problems with people going through there.

The dead animal head on a stick with a sign that says no trespassing would be a good one too.

Or you could put a bear trap inside that hut thing... Who ever was there would learn the hard way that they shouldn't be there.

Those "shacks" are all over the woods around here. They are made by hobo/bums and used as their "house", so you aren't going to see someone driving there. These people are aware that they are squatting, so you aren't likely to walk up on them during the day. These shelters are used mostly at night.

i dont see why it would really be a problem if they are treating the area nicely like not leaving a bunch of beer cans around and stuff what is it hurting?

yea, if they are just chillin, and keepin it clean... why not let em hang out? looks like true hobo fashion.

maybe you could leave a note that says "hey, what are you guys doing here? hunting, hobo's, hippies, kids, wtf?, let me know.. no responce will mean action. i'm pretty lazy, and dont want to deal with a bunch of crap if i dont have to.. "

if it's hunters, then be a dick to them and tell em to get out, but if it's just some people needin a place to stay, well, we all need a place to stay..

i remember when we were younger we used to go out and make cubby houses n shit on peoples land all the time, fences dont mean much to kids who just wanna have fun without killing anyone... ya know?

if it's kids and hobo's, then they got nuthin, so they got nuthin to loose. never get into a land war with china... if it's hunters, then they got something, you can ask a hunter to leave, they dont HAVE to hunt there.

the unfortunate truth is that if the person living in/using that shack gets hurt
liablity falls on his shoulders, hell if someone broke their leg while
burglarizing his house he can be sued, tresspassers seem to have more rights than
the land owners when it comes to litigation these days.

I'd burn the shack and keep an eye on that area and others on the property

It may sound nuts to you but we stay off the property all year long for a reason. We want the deer there to feel as at home on the 75 acres we have as they can. We have 6 people that hunt out there and every one uses the meat to feed him and/or his family. We don't usually start to go out until aug and then we are working on stands, cutting down lanes and such. Not to mention the fact that whover it is CUT A PATH through part of the field. So they are not only building a structure on the land but also modifying it and we could be held liable if anyone gets hurt. And it does tick me off.
