P. Caerulipes found in Cville VA ?

Im almost positive I've found caerulipes because; Someone from Cville just recently found them (which inspired me), they look exactly like them, and they are blueing--I still await print.
Habitat : Near small river, in flood plane, in woods around dead trees but not on them--It grew alone unfortunately... (not a cluster)
Gills : Dark brown
Stem : White-ish, bumby, with evident blueing (pretty dark), about 2.5 in. long, kind of hard, and kind of shiny
Cap : Offwhite, with small nub in middle-not very big though, brownish on the nub.
Spore print color : Awaiting
Buises: blue! The blueing is more 'blue' on the edges of the cap than on the stem however- on the stem it is darker blue.
Scent : Like a normal mushroom
Unfortunately, I have the worst camera known to man, nor do I know how to use it. But here are some pictures to go along with my description.

Oh and by the way, how many average sized (say stem 2 inches, 1/2 inches or somethign) caerulipes do you need to get side effects? Will this one even make me feel light headed?

Even from the blurriest pictures Ive almost ever seen would say you definately have Ps. caerulipes.......but dont consider anything that doesnt have PURPLE BROWN spore print first and bruises BLUE where handled or cut within 4 hours....
and found in a classic 'natural' habitat occurence for that species and remember that spot as a patch can reoccur next season.....have you ever found them before......were they on the same river ? without getting to specific.....sometimes your better off trying the camera back off the subject 18 or more inches if a webcam but still with the closeups included

alright Sorry about pictures, hopefully ill be getting a nice new digi for the summer, that ones like 6 years old lol.
Yea the spore print is in progress, one more question...
Why do you think this one grew all alone, I searched around for the longest time and couldn't find any others, just LOADS of poison ivy... If i returned in a few days after some rain, is there a possibilty that there will be several more?
Oh, and for you hunters, is there anyway to deal with poison ivy? I was walking through the forests and damn... I never thought I would see a poison Ivy tree... 90% poison Ivy, its mad... Any suggestions?

just wear long sleeved shirts and pants. use ivy block and avoid it the best you can. when you remove your clothes and boots don't touch them with bare hands. wash the clothes in hot water with soap and take a shower and scrub and rinse about 3 times.
if you wash it off within 2 hours poison ivy will not effect you.
i dont mind poison ivy that much, i get it so often that i hardly notice it unless i scrape it on something and it burns like mad.

I say with 99 percent assurance that you have P. caerilupes. The only blue bruisers I know of in this part of the country that arent caerilupes would be a few species of bolete, which your specimen most certainly is not.

It sounds like you guys were both hunting around the north side of town, near Mod edit: removed specific location I live in Mod edit: removed specific location, but if they grow there I don't see why they shouldn't further downstream.
Oh and BTW, leave some for me :P

Ah; I'm sorry, you're right. I just got very excited. To be fair I didn't give the exact location, I more meant that the woods around there in general would be excellent for wood-loving mushrooms of all sorts, and his description of the area seemed to match.
I did find about fifteen little mushrooms, but I don't think they're P. Caerulipes. They're dropping spores in my room right now though, so I guess I'll know by tomorrow. They were pretty small, hollow stem, a little "bump" in the middle of the cap, caps ranging from nearly veiled to flat, and yellow caps.

Nice find, I found about 30-40 of the Blue foot mushrooms yesterday in the middle of the rain here in PA. there were hundreds of tiny ones growing so i will be looking back tomorrow. Just keep hunting anywhere within the area of that one mushroom you found and keep looking. I go about once a week to my spot and gather about 10-15 a week, on average.
