Nothing personal i just dont put myself in those situations. And if you live near town just walk a certian river going through town. But are these really caerulipes? Id appreciate any input. Just checked the spore print and most of em are chocolate-purple to a light brown??? Should i thow the light brown ones away even though they bruise blue? O and at the spot theres soooooo many more. More pics soon.

Hey under....when you pick more try and get some nice close ups of them growing get the camera real low along side of them and take as many as you can as you can always delete later so you can pick the highest quality and dont move the camera when you snap as the slightest bit of movement blurrs.....but Im sure Im not tellin you somethin you dont already know.....Id say 3/4 of the pictures that come thru here are too blurry to comprehend

Im not sure if this is true with this variation of psilocybe, but when I hunt p. weilii i use smell along with appearance and prints to distinguish them during a hunt. IMO, especially with weilii smell is very important to distinguishing.

As for which ones to keep, as long as there is bluing evident you should be relatively safe. It can't hurt to smell them either, as Lusid suggested. If any single one of them smells different to the majority there could be cause for concern.

Looks like caerulipes to me. I'd wait for shroomydan's opinion, he just found some of these. But in all honesty, they fit the bill of an active Psilocybe to the tee.

Congratulations man. Those are psilocybe caerulipes. Though as shoominDole noted, there may be look-a-likes in the pile. P. caerulipes has a browner print than other psilocybes. When thick and wet it is a deep purple brown, but when it dries it will often look more chocolate than purple. If the print is very lite, it can even look Agrocybe brown. Once you get the feel for picking them, the best way to verify all the mushrooms in your collection are blue-foots is to check for smell and bluing. All will smell the same and all will show at least a little blue an hour or so after picking them.
Oh, sorry mustard man. The Shroomery is not a hook up site. We are an information site. This policy which is strictly enforced allows us to remain open while places like overgrow get shut down.

Good lad, what you did was never that bad anyway. But nobody is going to do it, it's illegal and we don't do illegal things here. Spore prints on the other hand may be a different story...

might I suggest snipping the mushrooms off at the base, rather than pulling them up? Digging them up causes shock to the mycellium and it may not fruit in the same spot again. Not to say that the same spot will certainly fruit if you clip, but it's more likely. Only losing like 1/4-1/8 in of stem- not a big deal, specially if it might fruit again.
