A Welcome Surprise

Hey everyone. Ive been at this for almost 2 months and things are going much better now. I posted a log following the progress of my PF Jars awhile ago and ended the log assuming failure after I lost all but 6 of my jars to contams. The jars left didn't look very strong at all. Well, I thought I'd get some casing experience so I cased them for the hell of it. 2 days ago I saw my first pins!! Heres a pic I took today.



Thats a 50/50 Verm/Peat Mix. I've having trouble keeping the humidity high enough.

I'm done with the first set of jars now. I've learned a lot and used that knowledge to move onto grains with much success. I've fell in love with Hawaiians and learned to respect ecuadorians. They might not be the fastest but they're very forgiving. Also, I'll never grow without Tyvek anymore.

One more thing. When I was birthing my cakes I saw something at the top that looked like a contam, I went to poke at it and I pulled this out. A very tiny accidental shroom. I guess i checked on them too much.

I'm using a clear tub with perlite, misting and fanning a couple times a day.
