The way people are these days (have they always been like this?) I doubt most people will admit there's a problem until they're standing knee-deep in the ocean and scratching their heads to figure out why

Yeah, no shit, they've been happening for about 4.5 billion years now
Fires happen, too, but I don't see anyone shrugging it off to continue watching the tube while their house burns down around them.

We are leading further and further away from major industrial ways and looking for greener more earth friendlier alternatives. Its in the works and our earth is to as you said 4 billion years. Life wouldnt have started if it wasn't for the green house effect. If it got warmer and the water table raised up 20 feet i wouldn't mind. Sucks for all the people that always wanted "their" water front "property" nothing lasts forever.

No, no How untrue What you do matters Especially if you demonstrate to others how you do it Like I choose not to have a car, I just walk or take public transport The whole industrialized world seems to have a head start on the US They want us to join in before it gets too late

I think both of you are essentially saying the same thing: basically you can't directly change people but only lead by example.
Like the part in Electric Koolaid Acid Test when Kesey fucks with the protestors? Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?
