Here's some pictures of local graffiti from my hometown I took a little while ago if anyone would care to look. Anyone else here interested in such things?
Hopefully this thread doesn't turn into a big argument, but it's art, there I said it, flame on bitches
Just kidding, I love you all..........
and my favorite picture from my favorite crew, The London Police

Eventually I'll get around to posting up pics of some of my works. Lately I've been doing a lot of custom work from my friends, hats, posters and such.

The second from last pic is a cool quote.

Anyone who's into graffiti might wanna check out http://www.artcrimes.com it's probably the best site on the net...
Also, i highly recommend this book:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN...d=2BEZA7DMMYB89
Some absolutely amazing artwork in there as well as the history of graffiti around the world... I loaned it from the local library and i've had to renew it twice coz i can't bring myself to take it back!

graffitis nice... theres some very talented artists out there.
What I dont understand is the dudes that take the whole territorial shit so seriously and start beefing over a fuckin spray painting.
I know some guyss that will crack skulls if someone writes over their shit. Fuckin children if you ask me. Ofcourse, I will never say this to their face.

Most graffiti is total shit. All art forms have their turds, but graffiti has the added bonus of being deviant so little shits with no skill go out and tag lame names onto walls with magnums.
Some of it fucking rocks though. I wish my city had more. The art we do have up is pretty shit. I want to get into but so far Ive been lazy. I remember in Amsterdam one of the bridges that leads into the downtown area had some amazing fucking pieces. The bridge was by a camp ground if any one knows what I'm talking about. Amazing skill was put into those works.

its cause an artist will risk getting caught by the cops by getting up on a wall, comes back to see it and someone crossed him out with their tag. i see where they come from. my friend came to a wall for 2 weeks working on a piece, after it was done i drove by it and checked it out. and man it was really nice, some of his best work. 1 week later a toy crossed him out and did a lil throw up over it.
