I find it funny how hypocritical this forum can be at times.
People will tear you down for performing a very minor criminal act like stealing a loaf of bread from Costco or something as expensive and state "Doesn't matter if you think it was bad or not, it was illegal", yet when it comes to graffiti, a crime that causes plenty in property damage and is usually carried out by underage kids who dislike the cops and will resort to violence to get away, hence the pistol and knife in the first picture, it's all good because it's art.
Wanna show off your art? Don't go spraying people's property and put it on some fucking paper.
There are a lot of graffiti artists who are pretty good, but you should find another way to show off your talent.

I think that art such as this, especially train art, makes the wasteland of our "society" more appealing. You should only be charged with a crime if your work sucks.

The forum itself cannot be hypocritical, only the posters.
I say steal if you need it, do drugs when you want, fight people when they deserve it, and spray paint any non-personal property you want if it makes it more pleasing for the eyes.

Sticker Graffiti, one of my favorite froms. We use to steal huge stacks of address lables from the post office and slap them up everywhere. One of our favorite things to try and do was slap one on a cop car well a cop was in it and see if they noticed (never got caught thankfully).

"I'm holding my gut when the rush hits, it's subtle at first--the worst is done This ain't nothing, until my blood is pumping, shit hits like percussion And the club suddenly changes into something it wasn't..."

Thats cool I thought those were in Atlanta, then I read the sentence you wrote above the pictures. The one from the bridge I think is right by Krog street. On Krog street theres this martial arts place that has really fucking tight graffiti art painted on it. Presumably they let some artists do it. I found a pic at the bottom, though its from an angle so you cant see the detail
Krog street in generaly is a great place for graffiti, heres some examples from that street:
Adult Swim is located in Atlanta

Now that I live back in LA the graffiti is everywhere but is generally pretty lame. Its all over the freeways and shit and signs, walls etc.. but its just names of gangs. Ive seen some good murals but I dont know where people make them in LA as Im not really into that scene. Im sure there are a few areas where people try to outdo each other with murals. Id like to see some more
