So ive been blind out of my left eye since i was 9

and today i was thinking about it. The only time im really aware that i only have half a field of vision is when im trippin, weird huh?

Tripping makes me aware of all kinds of shit. Most of it I prefer not to be reminded of. Hence, why I am not into tripping anymore. Although I did partake in a hallucinogen about a week ago.

i wanted to trip last night but my buddy didnt want to drive over :rolleyes: I told him id trade him 3 1/2 gell hits for the 2 blotter hits he had when i get them in a week.

He turned it down! He would have come up on that deal too.

i got hit in the eye with one of the rods that holds an umbrella open.

It missed my eyeball by like a mm and damaged the optic nerve behind my eye. No real pain a small trickle of blood(almost none) just lights out.

people cant even tell unless i tell them. Only visible sign of it is that my pupils are two different sizes.


I was VERY lucky i didnt lose my eye.

I'll say. Having a glass eye would suck....unless it fired laser beams.

What sort of changes do you sense when you are tripping?

I mean how can you explain the vision changes you experience that make you realise the difference in depth perception or what have you.

more just it makes my left eye more sensitive. Im not totally blind, id say 80-85 percent.

Its hard to explain. My left eye can still sense some movement and stuff, but my eyes work independently since my right one is the only one that does any real seeing.

Im trying to figure out a way to explain it but its hard. lol.

I'm not being a dick but I think if you lose one eye, you only lose 20% or so of your field of vision. Your vision overlaps.

80-85% out of the left eye not total :smile:

I havent tried to get my liscence yet :shrug: I think i can, I had a buddy in High school that only had one eye and he got his liscence fine.

When I trip sometimes things flatten out as if I'm looking at the world through one eye. Like a tree will look incredibly vibrant and detailed, yet it'll all seem to be on one flat plane rather than exist in 3-d space. And the next object behind it will look "above" it, towards the vanishing point, rather than "behind" it, know what I mean?

So thats pretty interesting, tripping reminds you that you have only half your vision, and tripping makes me view the world as if I'm covering one eye.
