Sure why not. You can do a lot with 1,500 extra pixels. And 80 x 80 external avatars are already allowed (see mine!)

You'll have to reset your avatar for it to take effect.

how do you resize photos so that they are smaller and how do you load them to be an avatar? sorry dumb questions..but i hav't done it in a while and i forgot. all the photos i've found are bigger than 80X80
