that sounds interesting, but i wonder if the MHRB would still work on its own without the tannins, that would be a great experiment to do...

sure, it's not the tannins that get one 'high', the tannins are what make it so bitter and trigger nausea, diarrhea. tannins are found in bark, stems, foliage, leather, wine. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tannin

i still haven't gotten my girl to try it yet, she thinks i'm crazy making my 'jungle juice'. but it's the best trip there is, imo. and the best part is there is no hangover, in fact it's the opposite of a hangover- you actually feel good, better than you did before dosing. a general sense of well-being persists for a few days after dosing, i'm told that's because of elevated serotonin levels but to me huasca is water of life, elixer of good health, medicine.
