I would invest in a case for it while it's still new as they scratch easily. I recently got an "iSkin" for my 60gig, but not before it got a big ass scratch across the screen (not that noticable but still). Considering the price of the unit it's worth shelling out the little extra for a case.

I really like Jodix to convert. It's free, fast and the output is nice. You can do lots of files at once.

I have an iriver h340. plays video, ogg, flac, records, line in/out, can play gameboy roms, picture viewer, no need for an application to put files onto it - just drag & drop.
