I've revolutionized soda drinking

it just came to me the other day... you know how when you get a cup full of ice, and you pour in that first soda, it fizzez up like crazy and it takes like 3 minutes to pour the first cup? and then the second one only fizzez up just a little bit and you can get soda all the way to the top on the first try...

well my solution is this: after you fill your cup with ice, run some tap water in the cup and shake it a bit to coat the ice, then dump out all the water... now when you first pour your soda, it will act as though it was the second filling without a bunch of foam... try it if you dare

lubricating my ice has changed my life..

that was implied, always at an angle, but it will still foam up on fresh ice...

and i'm not even gonna go into how wrong it is to put the ice in AFTER you pour the soda.... but your cup should be filled to the top with ice before you start pouring...

good idea psychotron, ive tried to get it not to fizz, i usually just pour super slow and at an angle, but i never went as far as u did. your truly a pioneer on the cutting edge of your field.

I've read that fresh frozen ice causes soda to fizzle out because of the friction it creates.
Pre-wetting the ice reduces the friction greatly.
You aren't the first to discover this physical fact, but I'm happy you did. :thumbup:
Enjoy your ice-cold, fizz-filled soda from now on.
I've been wetting down my ice for years before pouring that can of cold Coca-Cola into it (at an angle, slowly, of course). :lol:
