Hydrocodone

OK so I took 3 500 mg Hydrocodone, then like maybe an hour or later, I started felling REALLY REALLY dizzy, next thing I know I was puking. Any idea on why? and Has this happened to any of you guys?

The 500 represents the apap.
Maybe your tolerance had something to do with the getting sick.

You didn't take 3 500 mg pills... You might have taken 7.5 mg hydrocodone and 500 mg of APAP.

But to answerer you question its the opiate sickness, it comes with the territory.

Three x 500mg hydrocodone? I surely hope not!

Sounds to me like you happend upon a pill that has both hydrocodone (maybe 5-10mg) along with a half gram of acetaminophen or an alternate analgesic painkiller of comparable potency. First off, you don't want to be taking too much of that stuff (the analgesics or the opiates for that matter!) -- secondly, if you were puking it could very well be because you took too much and your body is revolting. I have noticed a tendancy for opiates to cause nausea, so this isn't necessarily unusual - but you can avoid it if you keep your doses light. If you are not an experienced user of this substance, I would most certainly dose less next time (even though I really don't know how much actual hydrocodone you consumed in the first place).

So, to recap:
  • Know your exact dose
  • Start small, and read general dose guidelines at sites such as www.erowid.org
  • If your body isn't feeling good, consider it a warning and ease up.
  • If your body really isn't feeling good, seek professional advice immediately.


The peak effects of your hydrocodone should start to ween away a few hours after ingestion.
