Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

That sucks robot, but really it's the perfect chance to look for something you like, every time I have to start a new job, I try something totally different.

My resume is quite random...everything I've done has been pretty different, and I definitely want to keep that trend alive. But I want my next job to have more to do with my long term goals, even if it's not a career per se.

have you tried using career building sites like monster and the like? Ive found some damn good jobs off of those sites, my resume has been up for 4 years now and i STIL get calls about it.

Another really great place to look for jobs is a college, most of the times small companies look to hire kids straight out of school or look for interns. Def something to consider.

Sucks you lost your job at google man, sounded like a nice plush job.

i really am glad you came back to us instead of taking the other path. *hug*

Don't you have a sister in France?

If so go over there and write something timeless.

I have a sister that spent 5 years split between Paris, Moscow, and Bologna. She's actually in D.C. now finishing up her master's. Her's master's in...WAR

She sounds HARDCORE!

Jew should still do it, the break from habit and new surroundings would likely produce something pulitzer like.

Yeah...I had a dream last night that Lucy and Eileen moved to ARgentina (they're planning on it) and I moved there a month and a half later because I felt lost.

But then when I got there, they had their own lives, and I was still lost.

If it makes you feel any better I've been lost for the last five years.

From my limited shroomery interaction with ya you seem to be one of those folk who defines the environment around them rather then be dictated how to feel by their surroundings.

Ideally.

But I've become withdrawn, passive, and inactive.

It hurts not to write, but I can't bring myself to do it either.

I'm not really surrounded by people who want to be creative cohorts...but at the same time, I know that I perhaps don't seek them out, and don't jump at chances to forge friendships with people that might want to team up on artistic endeavours.

And then another part of me entirely just wants to be alone with it all anyway.

I always think you and I could make some sweet movies dude, come visit the city for a week and we'll wing it. Just keep eating LSD and smoking pot and whip up something wobbly.
