Just came back from a little bit of hunting in a small pasture in louisiana. The weather seemed perfect and I found some of what im pretty sure are cubes. But since I'm pretty paranoid about the shrooms I eat(during a trip my mind will play tricks on me) i wanted the advice of some more experienced ppl.
Cap: 1-2in wide Stem: 1-2in long, hollow Gills: tan, no sporeprint Everything else i think you can tell by the pictures.

You can see the blueing pretty well, the ones with the darker gills are much dryer than the others so I'm assuming the color is due to rot.

They certainly appear to be cubes, in that last picture you can see some blue bruising on the stems. The darker gilled ones are just a bit older, not rotten. Cubes have dark purple-brown spores, so mature specimens have gills that take on that color. You found them in a cattle pasture I presume? Go ahead and take a sporeprint, it is easy and something you should do anytime you are not 100% sure of your ID.
Wait until some of the experts weigh in before you consume any. Nice finds though, looks like the gulf coast season is heating up.

They look like cubes to me too, perhaps a little aged or dried giving them that sort of appearance, nice finds.

Yes, it was found in some cow dookie. The temps have been jumping around a lot the past couple weeks, it was kinda cloudy and chilly this past week but the sun came out yesterday and warmed it up into the 70's.
We've also been getting a lot of rain and drizzling the past few days. The ground is still a little moist and it's pretty humid.

some almost look sporeless and are weird looking but the blueing is convincing if they were in the sun too long they may lose some potency but i think you deff got enough.

I agree, they are a much different looking strain than you normally see (hardly similar to the ones i've grown) but they are still recognizable and the blueing can't be mistaken. I'm not too worried about the potency though since they kicked my ass before(never picked by myself alone though). I remember lying on my bed listening to tool and having the distinct feeling of my soul being (not very gently) ripped from my body while watching a "worm hole" behind my bedroom door nearly open up to a whole new dimension.
