Just Got The Teeth Pulled...
    #5335520 -

just got my wisdom teeth pulled. still bleeding 4 hours later. anyone else have this happen? they told me it might not even bleed, but it's been i believe actually more than 4 hours since i got them removed and it's still somewhat bloody in my mouth.

got 20 5/500 vics and prescribed dexamethasone.
my mouth fucking hurts and i took 1 of the dexamethasone and 2 of the vics about 3 hours ago.
how many vicodin usually work to get rid of the pain in your experience?
should i ask the doctor for something stronger tomorrow?

thanks.

I feel your pain, try and get the DR. to give you a script for Demerol,
I had mine cut out a few years back, and everything went well.
But follow the instructions he gave you so you dont get a "dry socket",
or you really will know what pain really is.

meh... demerol sucks imo. id rather have the vicodin...the best thing youll get from a dentist for pulled teeth is percocets, so maybe you can get some of those if the pain is really bad.

i had 3 compacted wisdom teeth.. 1 of them was so tight it actually cracked one of my molars.. now that was some pain...  i also got dry socket cause i was being dumb and smoking a few days after the surgery.... but i justified the smoking of weed, cause then i didnt have to take as many pills at one time :smirk: .... i was young and dumb then though..  i got my wisdom in  at like 15 and got them pulled at 16 , it was crazy... i definately wouldnt smoke now though if i had to do it again

I had a bunch of wisdom teeth pulled, they bled for almost a full day afterwards.  When I slept that night, I bled so much I woke up to my pillows covered in it .

I also got dry sockets, which I hope you dont have to endure, because it fucking HURTS.  Don't spit, don't drink through a straw, or do anything that could cause the clot in the hole where your teeth were to dislodge...

I was prescribed percs when I got mine pulled, because I'm already prescribed vics for my back.  The doctor wound up having to refill my prescrition like 4 or 5 times because i have such a high tolerance to pain pills that I was taking 4 or 5 of them at a time and still not feeling anything.

I hope your recovery is a quick one.

you should try to gargle some salt water in your mouth that is suppose to help it heal and prevent infection

why do they generally pull wisdom teeth in the first place?

most of the time when they come in the fuck up the rest of your teeth. especially if them come in sideways.

i had mine pulled a few years back, no pain at all. for the first night i kept icepacks around my cheeks, so no swelling either.
dont quite what i was perscribed...good shit though.

Take some tylenols and crush them up and dissolve the powder in a glass of warm water.  Take two strips of paper towell, fold them up and soak them in the solution and then put them  in your mouth over the holes.  Trust me, this shit works :yesnod:

huh?

p.s I took hits of rock through my nose the day I got my wisdom teeth out like a dumbass.  Also I took a few clears of a bong by inhaling really lightly. :tongue2:  No dry sockets, but definately not one of my brightest moments.

I'm under the impression that it's the change in pressure in your mouth caused by the act of smoking that causes dry sockets, not the actual smoke.  Can anyone verify?

5mg vics?

you got robbed, man

when I had my wisdom teeth out, I demanded percodan, and the doctor gave me close to fifty of them. I told him I had a high tolerance for opiates and he just smiled and wrote the scrip.

how much grapefuit juice and how many hours do i drink it before consuming the vic?

the weird thing is the doctors told me that after the surgery i'd pretty much be a zombie and in bed most of the day from all the drugs in me, but...i coulda ran a mile if i wanted to. felt sober, normal, maybe even a little energy. didn't even get to sleep until 12 30 AM. what the fuck?

I went with the IV sedation.  I woke up goofy as hell and almost asked my nurse out between my hysterical laughs
