Marijuana (ect) Current Drug Tax Stamp REVENUE?

For those that don't know what I refer to take a look here:

No matter how hard or long I search, I can't find the REVENUE statistics of certain states drug stamp tax. In this case, Kansas. I realize that the purpose of these stamps lie in the fact that its another penalty to a dealer, but I do remember over hearing on a media channel that Kansas actually has a rather large amount of paying (voluntarily) dealers. Any one happen to have such statistics?

Statistics for numbers like that might not be available online. But if you go down to where the stamps are issued in your state you can probably have them give you raw numbers of stamps sold per year. Open records laws should make that information public knowledge, if the public cares to go down and ask. You might have to pay some fees for copying or archive retrieval or something. That's what people had to do to learn how agencies work before the days of the internet :-)

i agree, they should start to issue the stamps. they would make a ton of money.

i believe paying a drug tax makes sales legal.

some fellow in some westernish state sold pot legally by buying tax stamps, was arrested, the court ruled you can't be punished twice for the same crime, and that paying a tax constitutes as punishment.

"punished twice" key word twice. He just spent 10 years in jail instead of 15  :rolleyes:
