I usually drink beer, but tonight I bought some wine. Im buzzing pretty nicely. Do you find that being drunk on wine is different then being drunk on beer?

Wine seems to have a much different effect IMO. I prefer beer.
It is very hard to describe the differences, but one of the obvious ones is that wine makes me sick a lot easier. If I drink lots of wine that is - but it also depends on what kind of wine it is of course. With beer (just about any kind) I can drink until I pass out and won't get sick. I can do some serious drinking too, finished whole cases of beer in a single night before. I also drink the really strong stuff. I can chug vodka and other harsh stuff straight from the bottle like it's water.
Back to wine though - it almost always makes me feel crappy or hungover once it wears off. Beer rarely ever seems to do that to me.

I bought yellow tail tonight. I never had wine before so I didnt really know what to buy. Anywhos I got chardonay (sp?) and Shriaz. The shiraz is too strong tasting for my liking but this chardonay is delicious.

I think that depends on what type of wine it is....

alot of really high end vintage reds are unbelieveablely high in sulfites and will make you feel awful the next day.

If im drinking wine then it's usually a mid range red, never white, but drinking wine to get drunk is really not that enjoyable in my opinion. Thats what 24-packs of budweiser are for.

I'm not even 21, so my opinion on what liquors are good is pretty much void. but I've been drinking rum for four years.

Red wines give me that warm fuzzy feeling I love oh so much. I try to steer clear of Sweet and White wines because the sugars they contain usually lead to a troublesome hangover. Shiraz has to be my personal favorite hands down... Yellowtail makes a great Shiraz as does Rosemount(maybe even a bit better than the Yellowtail although not as loud spoken or popular).
