this doesn't make sense to me. the venom would start circulating immediatly through the body. unless one severed the arm within minutes of the bite, i can't imagen that being effective in preventing the spread of the poison.

btw, how did he close the wound? and for that matter, how'd he chop off the arm? ax? knife? chainsaw?
