Mjshroomer: At fifty Years Ago This Year
    #5198136 -

Was going through some old photos of me and found this one from school.

And since I was such a trwep I thought I would also share another few images from my younger days.

These next few images are what were once color portraits. Currently they have faded. That is they are hand painted pictures before color prints were popular. My Grandparents paid for a lot of color images.

These are from a CD of the Allen Family which covers from my grandparents (1882) until a few years ago, all images of everyone related to me.

Now another surprise.

Not sure if anyone here know the name of Duncan Renaldo.

He use to be a terapeze artist who later became, along with Leo Carilko as Panchop, The Cisco Kid on Radio and television.

Anyway, he once broke his back on the trapeze and later became the cowboy star of legend.

The hat I am wearing was a gift to my mother. My mom dated Gene Autry for a while but did not like him a lot because he drank. This was that period in my life.

And here I am on a pony. Did not even notice this oen before.

And this is going to be added to my furry friends section at the mj site.

Does anyone here have a cool-unusual childhood image they wish to share?

and have a shroomy day

mj

What is really strainge is that I do not remember the names of any bocy in that picture.

Not even my army group shot, I cannot find me.

Anyway thought someone whould get a kick out of the straight kid.

Wonder how many of them in the image went hip and smoked dope and dropped acid?

That's what gets me, I love thinking about the lives people went on to live after the moment captured on film. The possibilities are limitless, so how did it actually play out? Its weird to associate the monochrome ghostly images with actual people who were once here. Plus photography is still in its infancy, I can't image what people in 1,000 years will think of the images we have amassed thus far.

Very cool indeed. I do have some relatively old shots from the early 80's when I was a wee one, but it'll take me some time to find 'em since I'm sure they're buried back home at my padre's house.

Thanks for sharing!
