that's interesting, pris - never read anything with this point-of-view.

i don't like the taste of soy milk (or regular milk for that matter) at all, although there's some kind of soy & rice milk mix that is very good w/ mixed with oregon chai. homemade yoghurt is where it's at.

thats because no one ever checks, it's labeled as a health food so people
naturaly assume it's healthy, much like the scam that is organics in america,
it's not what it appears to be. soy products arent that bad for you in
moderation, I love roasted soybeans but I avoid eating more than a few ounces
at a time, I always research things I consume and since getting started in
agriculture a few years ago I've been heavily researching foods, I'd hate to sell
foods that are going to lead to health problems for the end user.

I have to leave soon (and i WILL look into that when i get home), but i want to thank you Prisoner #1 (and daimyo and biggc1) for allowing me to see some of my ignorance. This reminds me of a month or so ago i was at a family party, doing lines of K. I asked the guy if he wanted me to roll him up a $20 bill. "Are you kidding me?!" he said, and then told me about how you could totally get hep c and other diseases from snorting from a bill. "Say some guy with hep c used that bill to snort god-knows-what, and his nose bleeds just a tiny bit onto the bill, then weeks, months later you use that same bill for snorting."

Man did i realize how truely ignorant i am in that moment. Oh how thankful i am for you older fellas!

count on each other to to keep us in check. take it easy

Has anyone tried this?:

All-Natural Almond Milk

1 1/2 cups of raw almonds, soaked in water overnight
4 cups of filtered or spring water
3-5 dates (optional)

Blend 1 ? cups of raw almonds that have been soaked overnight in 4 cups of water. Blend with dates if you like your milk with a hint of sweetness. Strain once to remove almond granules. The result is a delicious, creamy milk that is free of harmful vegetable oil, concentrated sweeteners, and the problems associated with cow?s milk and soy. It can be stored safely for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

Well step right up and join the throng marching askew to the beat of the NWO. What next? Soylent green. They offer you wallpaper paste to put on your grain and ya'll greedily gobble it up. Brilliant move, it's probably better that you have no deisre to breed!
http://www.thewholesoystory.com/index.php

From Bill Mollison..."Soy beans are used in tofu, soy sauce, and are sold as 'health food.' Well, it's not. It's probably the most unhealthy food grown in what is called agriculture. It was grown only to paint cars - all duco, all paint for cars, has to have a soy bean oil base. It grows as the number of cars grows. You can have unpainted cars and we can stop growing soy beans. But if you demand a colour on your car, you have to have a few acres of soy beans. The whole soy bean kick was started by Henry Ford. He pushed the soy bean because it was so valuable to him. He used to say you could have a car any colour you want, so long as it was black, because he didn't have many other colours.

Soy beans, too, have a powerful anti-nutritional factor which prevents the uptake of protein. So they have to be cooked for six or seven hours. There's hardly any other food which is that poisonous. So they are a nasty little poisonous commercial seed. A little bit is left over, a tiny fraction, 0.005%, is used in health food shops for what is rather a risky food; if they haven't rinsed it enough, you will get a protein deficiency out of that. People who make tofu cook it the minimal time. There are plenty of beans without these factors, but they are not much used. But soy beans have to be grown to paint your cars, and that leaves an awful lot of soy residue, and they make up a large part of the feed industry for chickens and pigs, poor things. I always said that I don't trust anybody who voluntarily eats beans. One of my more famous statements."

But all the power to ya, I make my own seed 'milks' since dairy is nearly as toxic as soy...
