Can the following species be used for Ganoderma?

Can any of the following trees be used successfully for ganoderma growing?  production is important and quality moreso.  or if anyone knows any good species in taiwan that would be great :smile:

Fraxinus formosana
Michelia compressa
Quercus tarokoensis<-oak?
Lagerstroemia subcostata
Acacia confusa
Chamaecyparis formosensis
Chamaecyparis obtusa
Betel Nut
Coconut

I think these three would have the best chance of growing ganodermas:

Quercus tarokoensis<-oak?
Betel Nut
Coconut

I have seen reishi on palms and oaks.

It would be cool to try all of them though.

perhaps later on i will try all of them, but for now my focus is on good yeilds and good quality.  its to make money so i dont really want to experiment too much right now.  well i do, but i cant afford to lose that much right now.

becaus ei speak no mandarin or taiwanese its become very hard to find out wha tthe farms here use for wood :frown:  Plus i find it hard to even find a tree species list for the country (in english).  sooooo im hoping people here know.

it looks as teough the "oak?" would eb good.  it is an oak right?  Quercus is the oak genus?

I can't tell from the picture whether it is an oak.

This National Geographic site, http://www.nationalgeographic.com/wildworld/profiles/terrestrial/im/im0172.html, has a list of trees that grow in Taiwan. It lists a bunch of broadleaf trees that could be used. Hemlock somehow got grouped in with the broadleaf, it's not. Other sites I visited mentioned that ash, chestnut and beech grew in Taiwan. Taiwan looks beautiful.
