affiliate bar at bottom of page

ive been having problems with this site all day. when ever i try to load any page on here it almost kills my browser it uses soo much of the processor. ive been tinkering with all my settings all day and i think i found out whats wrong.

when ever i load a page, in the affiliate bar at the bottom the shroomery page loads over and over. each page has the bar so it loads another page with the bar to load another in a cycle. i would hit the x to close it but i cant, its not a link. im not sure if its just me having this problem or not, maybe the others with the same problem havent had a chance to post, it was hard getting this far.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Yep should be fixed now. Blame yours truly, I messed up returning the vendor ads to the bottom rotation :blush:. Anyway thanks and please report any more problems!

it was working fine, then it started doing it again. the only way i can get it to stop is turn my security settings up all the way.


edit: found the 1 setting i need to change. disable or prompt for active scripting. if its enabled then the cycle just continues till i end the process.

in ie shroomery was alloud cookies, but it was set to prompt for all other pages.

i broke down and got firefox. it seems to work fine but its a bit of a resource hog too, guess i gotta set it up a little more.

Well, I'm glad to hear you got Firefox :smile:. But the Shroomery shouldn't be fucking up your browser whichever one you choose. I might have fixed it in IE, could you please let me know?

seems to work fine in ie. think im gettin firefox to act a little better too :laugh: . now if i only had the balls to put linux on here.
