DMT from phalaris grass?
    #5134668 -

I need a tek on extracting smokable DMT. I thought of phalaris grass first since it's easy to grow. Below is a link to the most useful tek I've found, but it says it takes a month.

Any ideas on how to do it better/more easily?

Typically better and more easily don't go together. I was considering this same thing last summer but got scared away by what people were saying about gramine and all that.

For what it's worth, the tek you're refering to is the only one I ever came across that extracted to a smokeable medium.

h ttp://deoxy.org/smokedmt.htm

This one seems to be a bit more complete, although it is only an exploded version of the one you read.

Phalaris contains many things besides DMT.

http://www.erowid.org/plants/phalaris/phalaris_faq.shtml
"N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), 5-Methoxy-N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (5-Me-DMT) and 5-Hydroxy-N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (5-OH-DMT or bufotenine)."

This may help.. http://deoxy.org/smokedmt.htm

Should I just use mimosa rootbark like everyone is telling me?

That would work since I really just want to try it, which is the stage I'm at now. But with the grass, you could grow it yourself and not have to buy rootbark time after time.

Why not consider growing P. Viridis? It's an ideal sustainable source of DMT if you can swing it. I hear they're hard to grow but if you can set up the right conditions it'd be perfect for you. DMT is in the foliage so you can just pluck a few off from time to time, save up a decent amount. Leaves grow back after removal and you can even propagate from an individual leaf.
