Has the place completely recovered from the Tsunami? I've been wanting to go desperately. When is the best time to go?

Hi, here is an image. The Tsunami was mainly ont he Andaman Sea side of Thailand facing India, Burma and Sri lanka (Ceylon). You can see part of the region onthe image posted below which says Tsunami.

Popular tourist vacationing time in Southeast ASia is November to March. I go in the summer during the rainy season because that is when the shroms are up in abundance throughout the region. Southeast ASia is on large cattle pasture with few if any fences.

How worried do you have to be about stepping on the wrong persons land when hunting? How about authority?

I personally work with a university ion Bangkok for the Last 20 years or so. So I have permission to collect herbarium specimens.

However, There are no fences on most lands and cattle and buffalo, the latter is the predominante SHroom cultivator in the land, Roam freely throughout the country. Buffalo outnumber the cattle ten to one and one out of every ten water buffalo in Thailand are pink.

The peopl are friendly and usually will assist you for a few pennies or tell yo where to look. They do not chase people away.

India the same, except around Tamil Nadu where local police like to chase and beat shroom seekers int heir country. Many third world couontries offer shroom omelettes, pizzas, milkshakes/smoothies and soups with magic shrooms for their guests.

I have a book available of "Magic Mushrooms in Some Third World Countries and other Regions of the World."

How much of Thailand looks that beautiful? I'm sure it has its bad parts, as does everywhere, but a guess please.

Were you near any of the areas affected by the Tsunami a year ago?
