Vacuum-cleaner HEPA filter for my lab?

my lab is a 4mx1.80mx2.20m sealed room. Inside I will have a big greenhouse for fuiting, a dark growroom for spawn run, a heater to keep the right temp, and a table with a flowhood (with H14 HEPA filter).

I would like to put a fan in the door with a filter attached to put fresh air in the room. My question is: may I used a Vacuum-cleaner HEPA filter plus a furnace prefilter, or any other cheap filter?

Any HEPA filter will work.... the question is how much airflow you'll get for the space you're working with. A vacuum cleaner HEPA is usually going to be pretty small to feed a room.

No reason why not. Any filter is better than none.
