GELATIN in a petri dish

Anybody ever try adding applicable nutrients to GELATIN, sterilize it, then pour into sterile petri's.

i dont want to seem like a penis for asking but why are you asking. this has been asked several times before and from what i gathered it works but disolves pretty fast.
ive never messed with either agar or gelatin so i have no say in it really.

i knew youd make me look like an ass.
id like to start tinkerin with agar but i cant think of a good reason for me to right now. usein gelatin would be better since we already have some so maybe i might mess with it.

I tried it, gelatin liquifies when colonized by the mycelium.

That was my experience as well. It turned to slush, then the mycelium stalled.
