Looks like I'm moving....again.

Well, I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately (about 4 months) and I believe I really need a change.

I mean, I was pretty much forced to choose my career already. Hell, I'm only 20, I still have plenty of time to decide. It's really not fair to have to chose your life this early on.

So, I started making calls and by the end of January, beginning of February, I'll be moving to Hawaii. There, I'll be part of a new Greenhouse being built. So, I'll be living in a nice apartment and basically just growing until I can figure my life out.

Should be fun...

Well, Hawaii is damn nice. I surfed there many-a-time. But, it's just like I'm fed-up with things and wanted to try something new. Hopefully, I'll find out a little more about myself and what I truely want to do in my life.

Right on brother. I've never been to Hawaii.. but I can only imagine it's as good a place to find yourself as any! When I think of Hawaii I think of beaches and fruit and paradise. Not bad...

Yea, for the most part it is. But, the big cities like Hilo...actually are pretty rough.

Yep, I'm just going to work as a garden assistant and just really think. I don't want to live with ulcers and such from stress.

I bet they have some good ass sushi in hawaii too.
My boss used to work at a sushi bar in hawaii.. he has a couple secret recipes that he uses that he picked up in hawaii.. people fucking love it. he wont tell me what's in it.

Hawaii sounds like a badass place. My brother went there for vacation and hasn't stopped talkin about the "No worries" mellow attitude everyone had.

And how the construction industry there was very unique (almost all the materials are imported) and if the surfs up, then the const. site was shutdown.

sounded too good to be true... I sure hope it is true though.

Do you know how much living cost are? I would expect them to be really high!!

Anyways how long are you going to stay?

Are you moving to the Big Island?

My wife and I moved to Maui 4 months ago and we couldn't be happier out here. She lined up a quality ag-research job and now I'm in the tourism industry giving bike tours down the volcano. It's paradise!

Shroomism: there is great sushi here! We get fantastc sea-food and there tons of sushi bars. I know of 5 alone in my town.

Cost of living is high, but doable. You  can scrape by in Hawaii just as you can scrape by anyplace else.

And I hear there's some good reeefer out here, too    :rastamon:

Yep, its the big island.

Yea, they cost of living is pretty steep...but, here in Taos, New Mexico, its also incredibly steep due to all that rich celebrities that live here.

Some friends of our out here have been telling me that we should find a property on the big island and invest now for when we're ready to retire. They're going to the island over christmas to scout and visit some other friends.
