so there i was digging through my old medicine cabinet...

when suddenly i stumble across an old bottle of liquid hydrocodone:) the date on it says 1-17-04 and it doesnt have an exp date... well it does but it doesnt have the date on it, it says Exp date:

think its still good? i mean would i get sick if i drank some. or is the codone still good even?

I don't think it would be bad. If it has expired it should only be alittle weaker.

That'll get ya pretty narc'd up. 7.5 hydrocodone is second to the largest dose made... the only thing stronger is 10/500. You sure that isn't APAP 1500 or 500? I don't see a lot of doctors 'round here going ELI. APAP=acetaminophen=tylenol=liver damage if you take too much... especially with alcohol. The hydrocodone will still do the trick regardless of exp. date... just be careful, narcotics can cause severe respiratory depression if taken in large enough doses... and if you don't have a bottle of Narcan there I wouldn't go OD'n much more than what the 'script was for, for your own safety.

Are you guys fucking serious? Tylenol aka acetaminophen is terribly toxic when it starts to break down. And pharmacies only have to have the meds within 6 months of the exp. date for CIII-V drugs. They are only guaranteed good for 6 months past dispensing. With liquids they tend to sit a while too. Use extreme caution with that, maybe take a very small amount first an be very aware of ANY physical discomfort that could be mild toxicity.

give 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls by mouth every 6 hours as needed for pain

so im thinkin 3 to 4 spoonfuls then? or would i fuck my liver up doing that much?

oh. aight then ill just try 1 teaspoon first, and if i do feel discomfort wut should i do? ride it out or seek medical help?

If you do not take acetaminophin on a regular basis you can take up to 4g in a day which is 4000 mg.

Hydrocodone can be compounded up to doses of 15/325.

I am currently dealing with a pain issue and have asked my doctor about what and how much I can take.

I'd take 3 and wait. too much and you'll vomit but I'm sure you know this.

pharmacologically speaking, the recommended daily maximum dosage of APAP is 4 grams... now, in reality, that is ALOT of APAP. I wouldn't recommend more than 3000 mg... 3 - 4..... yea, you won't die from that.... your still messing with a very powerful drug though, so use your head.

15/325... yea, forgot about that... don't see it much here... i do remember treating a few oncology patients that were on that strength though... breakthrough pain meds if I remember correctly.

yea, like peeper said ill try 3 teaspoons. wuts stopping me from taking it is, it smells like cough syrup? is that normal or does that mean its been fermenting?

Dude I'm not trying to piss you off but as much as you drink you might really want to reconsider taking this stuff, I'm sure you can find a way to extract it if you take your time. You don't want to fuck yourself up.

I myself take no acetaminaphen if I can get away with it. That is why I had them up the hydrocodone instead of taking 2 at a time. Of course with a cold water extract I don't have to worry.

I don't think fermintation would smell like cough syrup but I have never had liquid hydrocodone before unless it was codiene in cough med.

My husband drinks and takes hydro's with me. I'm sure you will be fine. Just don't do it often.
