Currently attending Monmouth University, I'm a junior (sposed to be a senior -- I fucked up) with a major in Comp Sci and a minor in Spanish.

I work on a farm (:smirk:) right now that is primarily a nursery, but sells pumpkins and Christmas trees according to the season.

I hope to do something with my comp degree...I have no clue what though. :shrug:

Production line worker and forklift operator at a cement factory.
I come home everyday looking like I just came from ground zero.
And why does anyone want this shit job? It pays somewhat good.
but the real reason why I still have this job is I need it to pay for my school. I am currently a student-pilot hoping to get my private licence in about 4 or so months.
Its alot of bucks for sure.

the toughest work i ever did was while i was in school.
doing dirty work is good for you as long as you can protect your health.

btw, i do whatever pays. really, i suck at keeping a career path. i haven't found much of anything i can't do so i more or less do it all. it causes some problems and i hope to one day have enough motivation and willpower to actually have a career.

in the meantime i am currently in construction project management at the coordination level. my all-time fall-back job is computer tech support/helpdesk/administration.

I'm currently on my last 2 semesters for an AA in chemistry at a local community college (hey, its free). Once I graduate I'm going to UF to get my BS in biochemistry and then possibly move into grad school for pharmacy specifically psychopharmicuticles.

I just finished my second practicum (sp?) as a surveyor for an engineering firm. Really enjoyed it. I'm back at school for another six months here in Manitoba, then I'm probably shipping myself out to Alberta. I too will sell my soul to the oil barons for money.

BTW I've heard that in Alberta surveyors typically work twelve or fifteen days in a row, then get a break of a few days, etc. An Alberta company called Crape geomatics came out here to scout for employees and told us that they do seventeen days on, then five days off. Does everybody out there do this?

I live in my parents basement and sell stuff from the attic on ebay. I also sometimes mow my neighbors grass in the summer for some extra cash. I am going to be moving out soon. I am dating a girl from another state. We haven't seen eachother yet, but I've been sending her cash to get out of debt that shes in. She said once she is out of debt she is going to contact her lawyer and he can legally give her inheritance money from her deceased father. She is then going to move out here and we are going to buy a place and get married. I'm looking forward to it because at 28 I am beginning to HATE my parents.

I build commercial grain bins. We usually work 7 days a week 12 hour days depending on the time of year, now we work sun up to sun down. I work all over the country, today I'm heading to North Dakota for 7 days, back to Iowa for another 14 and then to California for a month. It's commission based pay but I can't make under 12$ usually it's around 16$ and the highest I've made on a job is 19$. Room and meals paid for.
This is only a temporary job so I can afford to hike the appalachain trail next year.

Never been to college, I have issues with "higher education". :smile: SInce high school I've been working in the food service industry, right now I'm at a real nice little restaraunt, pay is decent, great people to work with. I work 4 days a week, 10-11 hour days, then I get three days off. The restaraunt business is okay, at least I get one good meal a day. But all my work clothes smell like french fries...
Anyone know anything about massage therapy as an occupation?

I nanny, particularly for families who have kids with disabilities. Best job in the world, and it has inspired me beyond belief.

In school I learn how the media controls your mind, and how someday with a little asskissing, and how if I climb or meet some people and take the escalator up the corperate ladder, one day I too will supress your masses and control your thoughts...

but hopefully if it comes down to that, I will be dead.
