I'm gonna try to catch them in Pittsburgh. Does Kang still tour with them? I saw on their site SCI w/ Michael Kang, but I thought he was already a member of the band.

I saw them on their big summer classic tour this past summer. you're right they are amazing. every style of music they play sounds incredible and unique.
kang is still with them as far as i know.. him and billy nershi (on guitar) come up with the most inspirational improvisations. I want to be them

string cheese incident has to be the funkiest band goin right about now.. im listening to this show they played with Peter Rowan (of Old and in the Way) holyyy shittt. hobo song.. mmm..

yeah kang is a member. after the show on sat, i even got to meet him! not only did cheese play around 3.5 hour set on both friday and saturday but they also did a 6 song acustic set after their last set on sat. like 30 min after the lights went up there was a crowd gathered around cheese while they played totally unplugged. only a small fraction of the aduience caught it so it was very intiment. it was really something special.
