I was 'told' that fighting against injustice is not 'the way'. I guess Gandhi and MLK were not very spiritual. Apparently they 'should' have prayed in private and remained silent to change things.

Let's not be ignorant. Those are two of the greatest spiritual leaders of all time, and anyone that disagrees with the way in which they attempted to bring about enlightenment is deluding themself.

yeah, swami you misunderstood. the point was that if you try to hard to fight injustice you can end up embodying it yourself.?you can start beleiving that the end justifies the means.

I like this but, what I think may be misunderstand is the word "Yourself"......I have noticed that some people will try to pick things out in others and then make the assumption the person needs to " deal with it ". The outside person takes it upon themselves to be the "great I am" and say " if you don't deal with this your a failure or fake or not honest, etc "

Well............ the quote you have posted does not include an outside person.............It tells us to examine ourselves.

I have also noticed several posts, threads today that say this same thing ? I wonder ?

Do these posters have what it takes to examine their oneself ? What would be the purpose in telling others to be unafraid of the conflict within, when these posters refuse to ever take their own advice ?

In order to be taken seriously one must practice as one preaches even if only part of the time. When one speaks things and NEVER holds these things true to themselves then it is a waste of time.

It is not necessary to post the same invitation several times :rolleyes:



I agree that is very important to step back and examine what you fear, hate, despise about yourself especially when there are issues in one's life that are causing yourself to be affected or problems to great to understand. But as I have already said........It is not up to an outside, uninvited source to dictate when this process should start.  At times this may be OK but, only when the outside source has the intentions of what is best for you or has love as the driving force. To just plow into somebody to make them look bad or to prove a point or for plain old malicious reasons.......... Well that is childish


I think we all should remember why we are here. To help,learn and grow. We are not here to be above each other or take EVERY opportunity to show how weak a person is in any area ...they think needs improvement. Compassion and silence are sometimes a very good choice...........but for some that is impossible
