this is why I hate wireless connections...

intermittent connection. I'm talking specifically about the consistent dropouts every 30 seconds or so. It's not terribly noticeable except if I try to do something the second it drops it hangs, or if I try to play online games it becomes nearly impossible.

can anyone tell me why this happens and if theres a way to fix it? its not an issue of signal strength, signal is always 'Excellent' and I've used two different wireless routers (but with the same Linksys WUSB11 adapter) and got the same results. Is it the adapter or is there a setting I can tweak or is this the absolute nature of wireless (please no bs "I think its because" answers, I'd appreciate a solid knowledgeable answer)

my signals just "good".... i fuckin hate it cuz i can never play video games on the puter... and when i play xbox online i have to turn off both the computers...

Hmm, I'm using a wusb11 right now, and its terrific.. beats out the other 3 adapters I've tried... if it is that that is the problem, there is something wrong with it... maybe rma it?

I use a DLink and it's a piece of shit - It will show me being connected "excellent" but I won't be receiving any packets - Websites time out - Torrents seize to work - I have to re-connect every fucking hour :/

Wireless is the only way I get online at home..I can pick from 4 different connections bleeding into my apartment, all for free. And I love it!

I was mooching off of my neighbor's connection for a good 6 months...

I don't even know if that's safe to publicly admit anymore...

after people started acting like idiots and getting arrested for using open access points...

I think its technically considered illegal...
