no but seriously, does anyone have a clue what mushrooms grow in Fiji?

I've been googling it, and already checked this site. Found nothing, except that australian mushrooms might grow there.

oh and the mushrooms recorded to grow in Fiji are Copelandia cyanescens & Psilocybe cubensis.

is there a good chance of finding these often or in good amounts? is there any books i could purchase to help me identify some of the native fungi there?

well hopefully they have a computer for you to use too
so you can keep in contact.

when i went to hong kong i mostly had to use internet cafes to keep in touch with the message board.

I wont be in touch as often, maybe once or twice a week. im going to bring my laptop, i dont know of their source of power though. Theres a main island not too far from the island ill be going to (I forgot the islands name) but the big island is Suva, and has movie theaters, stores, and everything else just like the mainland. So at one point or another ill be back to check in. My girlfriend actualy just wrote me and has decided she wants to go there. I guess thats where im headed. Im really excited, and im definately bringing a shitload of batteries for my digicam, cause im gonna take so many pictures of the fungus life there. Maybe ill make a few discoveries.

im too poor to live anywhere in america, and the laws here dont fit me. living in fiji would feel so natural to me.

Really?  Cool!!!

I have several prints from Fiji that looked like Cube and Cope prints.
I hesitated to do anything with them cause I didn't know if they were native to Fiji.
Guess I'll have to rethink that decision :wink:
