of all the types of people who have been perma-banned,
an admitted pedo seems like the most obvious criminal
to actively remove from the site.

on a privately run site, why let such a huge liability
remain?

Not to get all technical on ya, but the defintion changes drastically from country to country. WHose do you choose?

A few years back, there was an expose on the Thai prostitution trade. A middle-aged American businessman was being interviewed:

"Don't you feel guilty for having sex with 14 year-olds in Thailand?"

"Why should I? I am following their laws."

"But it is illegal in the USA?"

"I don't do it in the USA."

"But don't you think it immoral?"

Let me make it clear that if there is a user here who is in the posession of or is distributing child pornography (as defined under US law) through our website, I would hope that anyone with this information would bring it to the administration so that we could remove the offending material and the user responsible for it. That being said, I am hesitant to ban someone who has only expressed an interest in children, such as the user "LadMirer" did last year, when he came into our community defending his BoyLove website along with his right to love whomever he wishes. As he was not encouraging people to exploit children, nor was he posting illegal material or forcing his beliefs on anyone else (only discussing them in a rational manner to convey his own personal feelings to those of us who cannot easily understand where he is coming from), the administration felt that there was no cause to ban him. In the end, he left on his own accord since he knew that he would not be looked upon kindly by our membership, and did not wish to create problems.

So if you have evidence linking someone to the propagation of child pornography or the exploitation of children, by all means please tell us immediately and we will take action. But if your concern lies in a certain user that may hold the personal ideal of gaining sexual gratification through the thoughts of children (not sexual acts involving children directly), this is not illegal. It is indeed a fine line, so if you are unsure, please send any and all related information to the admins and we will take action as necessary. For the record, I do not support or condone the exploitation of children and I find that someone who would sexually desire children is quite disturbing - but while I may not agree or understand their personal disposition, I do not think it is fair to exclude them because of a personal belief that does not harm anyone outside of themselves.

Stating a preference for underage girls or boys does not indicate a person is actively engaged in illegal activities. I have however seen many threads posted by people from the US engaged in the felonious activities of drug manufacture and possession.

Yes, this is very true. Pedophilia is sexual stuff with KIDS. That means no tits, no hair and no possibilitie to give birth. Child dont have the adult feature that is sexually atractive and are unaware of what sex really is so its WRONG to have sexual thoughts about them.

Is a man finding a 14 yr old girl atractive is a pedophile? I dont think so! Girls at this age have the possibilit to give birth, and have all the aldult woman feature (tits and long legs ahaha) and are more than aware of what sex is, what it means ect. And oh yes, they have the abilitie of judment and all.

A pedophile is by difinition attracted to KIDS. Not to ''woman under the age of 21''
