Silly way to let in a run.

Hey man so how does it work with the two ALDS Series. BEst record vs. worst record, and the middle two play each other?

Yeah, unless the wild card is in your division. Like if the white sox win division and cleveland gets wild card they wont play each other. The sox would get the next worst team. Like last year the yanks had the best record and the red sox were wild card. They didnt play in the first round because of that rule. Dumb rule if you ask me.

Eh kinda makes sense but kinda doesn't.

I wonder if we'll end up with any Monday one-off games. EXCITING.

So, as a yanks fan, what do you think of us having Jose Contrares?....he has been the best pitcher in baseball the second h alf of the season.

I'm fine with it, really, same with you having El Duque...though I love Duque, who doesn't?

While the Yankees pitching has been an excruciating drama, I've been really excited by it. I think the stories of Chacon, Leiter and Small, are just wonderful.

Chacon, playing for the worst team in the major leagues, they're dying to get rid of him, and he fucking saves the Yankees' asses over and over again.

Small, considering retiring at the end of this season in the minor leagues, gets called up and goes 10 and fucking 0.

Leiter, drafted by the YAnkees, always dreamed of being a Yankee, this year was possibly his last. Gets traded to the Yankees, and even if he wasnt stellar he always gave them what they needed, and his first start for them was against Boston and he won.

Small has saved their asses, but i have a feeling that he will choke in the playoffs.

4-2 Sox now.

I don't think Small will pitch as a starter in the playoffs. He's pitching tonight though which is awesome.

Torre already said:

Quote:
Should the Yankees reach the postseason, Torre will likely take 10 pitchers on the postseason roster instead of the 12 he has carried all season.

With only four starting pitchers in a postseason series, that would leave the fifth starter to serve as a long reliever. Add Mariano Rivera, Tom Gordon, Tanyon Sturtze and Al Leiter, and that leaves one spot for Embree, Jaret Wright, Felix Rodriguez and Scott Proctor.

I think Torre intends for SMall to be the long reliever.

I don't know why you'd think that though.

THink about it, this guy was sure this was his last year pitching. Now he gets a chance to get a team to the playoffs, and once there, win himself the only World Series he'll ever probably win.

I say he's gonna pitch his fucking heart out.

It's too much pressure I think. Thats why I do not have any faith in him. If the sox dont win i want the yanks to win because theyt are my second favorite team. I just feel that he will be feeling too much pressure. That's probably why he is not on the starting rotation.

I think the reason the Yankees love him so much is that he doesn't let the pressure get to him.

Hehe, we'll see. I just do not trust him. The Yanks is the team I do not want the sox to play right now. They are probably playing the best ball.

The indians were playing the best ball, but now they have dropped 3 in a row.

Yeah for a week or two the Indians were THE team. The Yanks have picked up a whole lotta slack. Predictions for tonight? I can't imagine us losing..

I think Boston and New York will both win tonight, setting up the possibility of a one-off game on Monday is Boston takes 2 of 3 this weekend.

Well, the Yanks should definately win. The red sox have Clement pitching. How has he done since he took that comebacker off the head? I know his first two starts after that were awful. And they are playing Toronto. Toronto is not a walk over. They are a pretty good team. If the Yanks can gain a game tonight it's basically over. All they would have to do is win 1 out of 3 games.

Sox game is getting interesting now......2 on 0 out for the tigers. Winning run at the plate.
