Social Deviance

One of the fun/interesting things about being a sociology major is doing experiments in social deviance(breaking social norms). This week, for my class, we're supposed to wear formal clothes everywhere we go in public. Man, I sure do feel self-conscious from the looks I'm getting. And I'm not supposed to tell people why I'm doing it, so I have to come up with some creative explanations for my appearance. By an interesting coincidence, I was planning on going to the tattoo shop this week to get my next tat, so it will be interesting going in there in a collared shirt and tie.

I'm dressing formal all week as well, some temporary work is requiring it.

Its been interesting. My hair is short(er) now and I am not getting near as many unwelcomed, scrutinizing looks. I doubt I'll keep with it, I can't stand wasting the day on my appearance.

That's awesome, I'm considering doing either a combined major of anthro/socio or just one of the two.

Both have so many interesting topics to explore. Sounds like a cool experiment though...have to let us know what kind of results you get.

I'm getting this done on my chest.  Simple, I know.  But I heard the chest hurts like a motherfucker, so I figured I wouldn't want to make it too complicated.
