If you like to be scientific, the How To Dose section here is pretty cool with the MM dosage calculator.
I absolutely love liberty caps and usually just grab a big handfull of them, mix with stomach acid and voila. Smilin' times are here again.Liberty caps generally make me feel happier and goofy with a good mixture of visuals. But hell, I'm an equal opportunity mushroom eater.

I still have yet to try Liberty Caps (and I live in the pacific northwest!!!!).
My only thought on dosage is this: I've heard people say that you need 25-50 average size liberty caps to get you off, yet in Stamets, they are quoted as being "moderately to extremely potent." Azures and Cyans are quoted the same and I've heard people say that 2-5 shrooms of average size will do you well. There must be a mistake in here somewhere.
I'd say go with dosage of 1.5 grams dried and see how it shakes you.
I need to find some libs before the season ends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried libs lots of times in the uk and the usual starting dosage is about 50 for a good trip but i usualy have about 120 - 150.

How do different strains of mushrooms differ in effect...
Like the mexican / hawaian / liberty cap ... etc...
Is the one more happy than the other ? or is the effect the same but only the potency better or less ?

The effect is different, with no doubt. Check around and you'll find specifics. Althought they are individual, they'll follow a pattern.
