Waiters generally made some pretty sufficient income.  Depending on what restaurant and the tips. :smile:

I make about $60-80 in tips a day just serving coffee.

Skilled trades are where it's at. Just go to Trade School for a degree. Should only take 1 to 2 years.

I'm getting a degree in Massage Therapy right now. Only takes 11 months. But, its in high demand and starting pay is $45 an hour. Then, it will go up to around $85 depending on expirience.

As a part time job I have considered a coffee shop or something similar.

What do you do well ? What do you like to do?
Go from there and figure out what kind of job to get.

don't work in fast food, every job i ever had in fast food has been a joke.

hell, when i was 16 i had a key to the door, and the safe, and my own security code at a Blimpie i worked at.

Work in a grooming salon.  That is what I am doing.  I have to be a bather for 2 more months, and then Petsmart is sending me to grooming academy where I get to train hands on for a month.  After that I have to groom 100 dogs and will go on commission.  You can make decent money grooming dogs. 

Come on, what is better then getting soaking wet and covered with hair wrestling with dogs all day?  :smile:

Anyway, that is what I am doing since college is too much for me.

Hell, thats not bad at all.  For some reason parents, teachers, etc. drill it into us that if we all go to college, we'll instantly become wealthy and successful.  Which isn't the case at all.

Thats why I'm just going to a small vocational school and getting my degree.  I don't need a huge amount of money, just a simple lifestyle for me.  :grin: :mushroom2:

Exactly. Its all about doing something you enjoy, not just money. I'd rather get up every morning and go to a job I love, for less money. Than, to be stuck in some cubicle, with an ulcer, just for a chance to make more money.
